Woven cane:

• Take a cloth soaked in water (without other detergents) and wipe it on both sides of the cane so that it can absorb as much liquid as possible, then leave it to dry for a few hours without using direct heat sources
• If it is necessary to remove dust it is advisable to use a dry antistatic cloth; in the most difficult cases the cloth can be dampened, the cane must then be left to dry naturally
• On the surface of the cane, natural breakages related to the normal weaving of the material can be found. They represent the end or the beginning of a filament, not to be confused with the breakage of a single fibre. In this case, it is not necessary to replace the cane seat. Instead, it is sufficient to connect the ends by glueing them together

• Cleaning and care: Do not use abrasive sponges, steel wool pads or polishing products. Only use a delicate detergent smeared on a soft cloth. Always follow the instructions for use provided on the detergent packaging
• Daily cleaning: Clean the furniture with a soft, clean cloth. Dampen the cloth with: a solution of lukewarm water and universal detergent (also containing a low percentage of ammonia); soap flakes (0.25 cl soap flakes per litre of lukewarm water); a detergent (also containing a low percentage of ammonia) or lukewarm water with about 10% vinegar. Finish cleaning with a clean, dry cloth. When cleaning, water should only be used in small quantities. It is recommended to use a damp cloth. Always finish cleaning by completely drying the furniture with a clean, dry cloth
• Thorough cleaning: Remove dust and dirt on a regular basis. Dampen a clean cloth with a solution of water and universal detergent (even containing a small percentage of ammonia). Pour a small quantity of this solution onto the cloth and wipe the furniture until all stains have dissolved. Alternatively, the detergent can be applied directly onto the stains: leave to rest for a few minutes for it to take effect, then wipe off the surface. Always clean with clean water. To avoid streaks or stains, always dry the furniture with a clean cloth to ensure the surface is thoroughly dry
• Removing stains: Not all stains can be removed using the same detergent. If there are particular stains on your furniture, you may need to clean them differently from the recommendations below
