Standard Shipping

  • All shipping costs are noted on the item page and calculated for you during the checkout process.
  • Deliveries to the 48 contiguous states will be made via FedEx Ground, UPS or by other common domestic carrier.
  • 2Modern offers FREE SHIPPING on items $50 or more, unless otherwise specified on the item page. Items $50 or less have a $5 per item shipping charge. Some manufacturers require a mandatory shipping charge.
  • We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes; we require a street address.
  • Standard delivery includes secure drop-off at your front door or entryway. Please contact our Customer Care team to inquire about our Delivery Service Upgrades for professional in-home placement and assembly.
  • If an order is cancelled after the order has been shipped or processed, the customer is responsible for round trip shipping charges even if 2Modern paid for the original shipment (i.e. Free Shipping). Consult Returns & Exchanges for more information about returns.

International Orders and Orders Outside of Contiguous US

  • 2Modern ships only within the United States.
  • For shipping to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico, a freight forwarder will need to be setup prior to placing an order on 2Modern.
  • A freight forwarder will provide you with a US address, where we will ship your order. All shipping fees from that US destination to your location is calculated for you by the freight forwarder.
  • Please note: Once the item is delivered to the freight forwarder warehouse you take ownership and responsibility for shipping to your location. 2Modern is not responsible for damages that occur while shipping from a freight forwarder to the final destination.
  • Delivery Service Upgrades are exclusively available within the continental US. For shipments outside this area, standard delivery applies, and returns are subject to round-trip shipping costs.

Large Item Deliveries

At 2Modern, we want your delivery to be as seamless as your shopping experience. Because large furniture and oversized items require special handling, they are shipped via our specialized freight partners rather than standard ground carriers.

How Scheduling Works
Once your order is in transit, the delivery team will contact you by phone 1 to 5 days prior to delivery to schedule an appointment window and discuss the details of your shipment. You or an authorized adult will need to be present to sign for the item.

Your Delivery Experience
Our standard large-item delivery includes Threshold Service, meaning your order will be safely placed inside the first dry area of your residence - such as right inside your front door, lobby, or garage. For select items, we also offer Complimentary Delivery Service Upgrades to make your setup more effortless.

To ensure your delivery perfectly suits your needs, we offer three tiers of service. All deliveries include a scheduled appointment window for your convenience.

Threshold Delivery (Standard)
Our standard, complimentary delivery service ensures your piece arrives safely and securely.

  • Placement: Your order will be carefully placed in the first dry area of your residence, such as just inside your front door, entryway, or garage.
  • Packaging & Setup: Your piece will remain securely in its original packaging for you to unbox, inspect, and assemble at your convenience.

Indoor Delivery with Packaging Removal
An elevated experience designed for effortless receiving and less cleanup.

  • Room of Choice: The delivery team will carry your item directly to your preferred room, including navigating up to two flights of stairs.
  • Unboxing & Debris Removal: Our professionals will unbox the item for your inspection and remove all boxes and packing materials from your home.
  • Please note that this service tier does not include assembly. This is offered as part of our Full Service Delivery tier.

Full Service Delivery with Assembly
Our most comprehensive, end-to-end delivery experience.

  • Room of Choice: The delivery team will carry your item directly to your preferred room, including navigating up to two flights of stairs.
  • Complete Setup: Our professionals will fully assemble and physically set up your new piece so it is ready to enjoy immediately.
  • Unboxing & Debris Removal: Includes full unboxing, inspection, and the complete removal of all packaging and debris from your home.

Special Delivery Instructions
If your home has unique delivery challenges - such as narrow streets, difficult parking, or staircases in apartment buildings - please let us know in the "Special Notes" area during checkout. Certain complex deliveries may require an additional fee; if so, we will gladly provide you with a quote for an upgraded delivery service.

Returns
Should you wish to return a purchase for reasons other than transit damage or a fulfillment exception, please note that standard round-trip freight transit costs will apply. We invite you to review our full Returns & Exchanges policy for complete details.

To arrange a Premium Delivery Service Upgrade, our dedicated Customer Care team is at your service. While these upgrades are not currently selectable during online checkout, simply contact us at support@2modern.com or 888-222-4410 shortly after placing your order, and we will happily coordinate the details for you.

Insurance

Your Order Is Protected

Every 2Modern shipment is covered against damage. If you purchased Route Shipping Insurance at checkout, you'll have additional protection and can file a claim directly through Route. Either way, we're here to help make it right -- contact us immediately if you notice any damage.

If damage is visible at delivery: Reject the shipment, ask the driver to note the damage, and contact us at (888) 222-4410.

If damage is discovered after delivery: Open your boxes immediately upon receipt and inspect the contents. Take photos of the damaged item and all packaging before moving or assembling anything. Write "Damaged Upon Arrival" next to your signature if you have already signed, and keep all original packing materials -- these are required to process a claim.
