How do I set up an account?
It’s simple. As a new customer, when you add a product to your shopping cart you will have the option to “proceed to checkout” or to “continue shopping”. When you click “checkout”, you will go to the next page with a choice between “New Customers” or “Returning Customers”. If you are a new customer, you simply click “Continue” and fill in the requested information under “New Customer Registration”. Once the checkout process has been completed, now your account information is safely saved in our database. The next time you return to 2Modern.com, you will login as a “Returning Customer”.
What are my Payment Options?
2Modern currently accepts VISA, MASTER CARD, DISCOVER and AMERICAN EXPRESS credit cards, Paypal Express Checkout and by check. You can safely enter your credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information via SSL.
What is your Low Price Guarantee?
2Modern is dedicated to presenting the coolest contemporary designers at affordable prices. That said, if for some reason you are able to find one of our products offered online for less than our total price (product cost + shipping cost), let us know and we will gladly match that price for you or refund the difference (if you find the price within 7 days after purchase)!
Just add the competitor site product page (web address) in the notes area when you purchase the product OR provide that information to 2Modern Support within 7 days after purchase.
Terms and Conditions:
- The comparison applies to authorized retailers in the continental U.S. that have the identical product in-stock and the product is priced accurately. Auctions or auction sites are NOT included.
- Comparisons must include the product price (including prices for custom finish, materials, upholstery, etc.) plus shipping costs.
- The total price match request must be sent to 2Modern Support within seven (7) business days.
- The comparison must be based on brand new products (no refurbished, remanufactured or copies).

Will I be taxed?
2Modern is required by law to charge sales tax on orders SHIPPED TO California state addresses, which is calculated and itemized during the online ordering process. No sales tax will be applied to orders shipped to addresses in other states.

2Modern is hosted and secured with NetSuite. Netsuite implements an advanced security method based on dynamic data and encoded session identifications and hosts the services in a secure server environment using a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Finally, NetSuite requires unique user names and passwords that must be entered each time a customer logs on. These safeguards help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of data.
This website, and more importantly all user information, is further protected by a multi-layer firewall based security system. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Paypal/Verisign also take significant security measures to protect your information.

Shipping
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Upon approval and verification of credit card information, orders will be processed for shipment. Orders paid by check, may be subject to slight delays. All checks must be received and cleared prior to order processing. Inconsistent data and billing information may also delay your order. Certain orders may require special processing due to limited quantities on particular items. 2Modern will notify customers who have placed orders for these “out of stock” items. On average, most items are shipped within 1 week. However, some items have longer lead times, including custom orders that may take up to 14 weeks. Each product page shows 'Estimated' shipping times based on stocked quantities or custom, made-to-order manufacturing processes. These dates are estimates only and 2Modern cannot be held responsible for additional delays due to manufacturing delays or shipping carriers. Please contact 2Modern Support for any shipping or lead-time inquiries.
How and where do you ship?
2Modern ships anywhere in the world!

Deliveries to the 48 contiguous states will be made via Fedex Ground, UPS or by other common carrier depending on the overall weight of your order. Deliveries outside the 48 contiguous states (including Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico), will be handled through Bongo International. See below for more information.
Currently, 2Modern offers FREE SHIPPING on orders of $50 or more for all items. For any items that do not have free shipping, it will be noted on the product page and shipping costs will be provided during check-out. Free shipping only applies to the continental United States.
Any shipping costs are calculated for you during the checkout process. 2Modern may offer shipping specials advertised on the site (like 'Free Shipping for any orders over $50), the calculations for those shipping specials will be calculated during the order process. We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. You must provide a street address. Unless otherwise specified with "White Glove Service" on the product page, 2Modern does not provide installation, assembly or physical delivery of furniture into residences or businesses. Installation, assembly or physical delivery of furniture into residences or businesses may be available through the shipping company. Any costs for installation, assembly or physical delivery of furniture into residences or businesses are the responsibility of the purchaser and not 2Modern, unless otherwise specified with "White Glove Service" on the product page. Some 2Modern furniture requires some assembly.
For larger items, please specify any special delivery instructions on in the "Special Notes" area during checkout. Let us know about narrow streets, staircases in apartment buildings, etc. Some delivery companies may charge more if there are abnormal shipping/delivery circumstances. If you have any concerns, please contact 2Modern Support.
For shipping outside the 48 contiguous states, including Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico, we have partnered with Bongo International. This is an easy way for you to consolidate any shipments from 2Modern (or other retailers) and save money. If you are not a registered member at Bongo, you will be able to quickly
sign up from the 2Modern site and receive a US address, where we will ship your order. All shipping fees from that US destination to your location is calculated for you by Bongo International.
Sign up here for shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico or any country outside the United States. Please note: White glove service is not offered with shipping outside the Continental US. For items shipping outside the Continental US, customers will be responsible for round-trip shipping costs on returns that are not damaged or incorrect.

What levels of service are offered for large item deliveries?
Certain items available on 2Modern are required to be shipped via a 3rd party “Freight” carrier, because they are too heavy or require special handling that standard delivery carriers are unable to manage. If your purchase will be delivered via a 3rd Party service, you will be contacted by the delivery Company via telephone, 1-5 days prior to the delivery to schedule an appointment and discuss the details of your shipment. You will need to be present to sign for the item.
Unless otherwise specified on your order as: “Silver Delivery Service”, “White Glove Gold Delivery” or “White Glove Platinum Delivery”, all large order deliveries, shipping via 3rd party carriers are brought to the curbside only. Note: Silver, Gold or Platinum services are not offered with international orders. Please click here to get information on
international shipping.
- Bronze Delivery Service: This delivery service is curbside only.
- Silver Delivery Service: A delivery crew will carefully bring your new furniture into the threshold of your home or first dry area of your business. Ground floor only.
- White Glove Gold Delivery: A delivery crew will professionally handle your new furniture into your home or office building, ground floor only. Your items will be unpacked and you are responsible for product inspection. Please note any damages or incorrect shipments right away. Upgraded services are also available to enhance your delivery service.
- White Glove Platinum Delivery: Our Platinum service offers the same benefits as our White Glove Gold Delivery plus: light assembly, and ‘carry-up’ one flight of stairs. The delivery crew is unable to hook up electrical or component wires.
- NOTE: For “White Glove Gold” and “White Glove Platinum”, please contact 2Modern support at the time of purchase to discuss the details of your delivery. Please let us know of any special conditions such as the number of flights of stairs, narrow streets, doormen, freight elevators and loading docks. We will provide you a quote for your upgraded, delivery service. Additional delivery charges will be assessed for abnormal shipping/delivery circumstances and must be noted on the original paperwork prior to delivery.
Please note, customers who would like to return items that are not shipped incorrectly or damaged will be responsible for round-trip shipping costs on all 3rd party type deliveries. This includes our Bronze level delivery service. Silver, Gold and Platinum services are not offered with international orders. Please click here to get information on

What is "White Glove" delivery service?
Certain items available on 2Modern can be delivered via a "White Glove" service. These items are carefully wrapped and delivered into your business or residence. We are pleased to offer two levels of white glove service for you to choose from: White Glove Gold Delivery and White Glove Platinum Delivery. White Glove Gold Delivery service includes inside delivery on the ground floor, unpacking of item(s), and removal of debris. White Glove Platinum Delivery service includes the same benefits as the White Glove Gold Services with the addition of carry up of one flight of stairs and light assembly.
There are additional charges for White Glove Gold and White Glove Platinum delivery services. These charges are specified on the product pages and in your shopping cart during checkout.

Are your shipments insured against damage?
Yes. Every shipment is insured against damage and we request that you carefully inspect your merchandise upon receipt and notify us immediately if you notice any damage due to transit. To successfully expedite any damage claim, you must keep the original packing material that the item(s) arrived in and print the words, "Damaged Upon Arrival" next to where you sign for the merchandise. Digital or traditional photographs can also be very helpful tools in assisting us to expedite a damage claim.
Are your products covered by warranty?
Every product is covered by its respective manufacturer's warranty.
Returns & Exchanges
What if I am not completely satisfied with my purchase?
We want you to be happy with your new product! Customer satisfaction is very important to us so we extend a generous return policy to accommodate your returns as best we can.
For most items*, if you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, 2Modern will be happy to process a return for you without any restocking fees. Before returning an item, please contact 2Modern Support to obtain return instructions. Items must be unused and unassembled, in their original condition, and in their original packaging, complete with all tags, instructions, and insert. Unless otherwise specified by 2Modern, all returns must be shipped back using the same method it was shipped (UPS, Freight, White Glove, etc.). 2Modern will provide you with detailed shipping instructions, including where to ship the items. If you are uncertain about any of the return details, please email 2Modern Support. (*Exceptions are products that are custom made, which are boldly denoted on the individual product pages).
The return must be post-marked within 14 days of receiving the item. If the return is not due to damaged merchandise, you will be responsible for the shipping cost back to 2Modern (or the manufacturer). Please note that for items that include free shipping, customers will be responsible for round-trip shipping costs for any returns that are not damaged or incorrect.
Please be aware that furniture is highly susceptible to damage during transit. We take great care to pack shipments so that they will arrive safely. You may have to provide supplementary packing materials if the outer carton has been worn during the original trip out to you. If you are returning the item, please ship with a carrier that provides tracking numbers and request insurance to ensure safe return.
All items must be received in new condition to fully credit you for the return or exchange. 2Modern cannot accept collect deliveries (COD’s).
Credit card orders will receive refunds in the form of a credit to your credit card. Orders paid by check will receive a check. Once we receive your return, please allow 2 weeks for processing. You will be refunded the full purchase price, including tax. Some of our products are offered with free shipping. Please be aware that if you return one of these products, our outbound shipping costs to your shipping address will be deducted from your return refund. For items shipping outside the Continental US, customers will be responsible for round-trip shipping costs on returns that are not damaged or incorrect.
What if my order is incorrect, defective or damaged?
If you have received an item that has been damaged during shipment, please contact 2Modern Support immediately. Photos are often required and always suggested so that a claim may be made with the shipping company. Replacement parts are shipped immediately upon receipt of a damage claim.
Be sure to inspect all packages for damage before signing for the package. If damage is visible, reject the shipment, be sure the driver notes the damage and contact 2Modern Support as soon as possible. We will file a damage claim with the shipper, pick up the damaged item or ship a replacement or replacement parts as soon as possible. If the item(s) sent was incorrect, or defective, please contact 2Modern Support by phone or email immediately. Please do not send back these items prior to contacting 2Modern Support.
If you have received a damaged product that can be remedied with replacement parts and choose to return an item rather than accept replacement parts, you will be refunded the amount of your order less all return shipping charges. *Please note that restocking fees apply to some products. Items that incur restocking fees are noted on the product pages.
