Seemingly mysterious numbers are engraved around the side of the bezel. This is a tachymeter. Using the scale on the bezel and the chronograph hand, you can determine the average speed of a vehicle by measuring the time required to run 1 km.
The face looks like a cockpit instrument panel, and has been carefully crafted to be easy to read. Some numbers on the side of the bezel are written upside down, but they too, are easy to read normally when looked at from the top. This is the mature wit of Mr. Fukasawa, a master when it comes to designing fantastic watches.

The horns of the case to attach the band have a delicate angle that facilitates comfort and allows a good fit even for people with small wrists.
