The urethane band holds tight using two pairs of spring belts.
Also organic – “alive” – are the indicators of hours and minutes, pointing toward the center of the dial. A complex mechanism within the disc shape makes realization of the unique hand structure possible.
The 3-D configuration was designed by Mr. Shunji Yamanaka.
With a screw-type caseback, the watch is water resistant to ten atmospheres. The crown (not of a screw-lock type), too, is in the shape of a creature. Engraved on the caseback is a testament to the collaboration among designer Mr. Shunji Yamanaka, ISSEY MIYAKE and Seiko Instruments, Inc.
